She has received many accolades for her selfless service to the society. On 1st November 2013 She was awarded Jilla Rajyasabha Award and on 4th March, 2018 she received the catholic Sabha Sadan Prashasthi recived

She was elected Zilla-Parished Member in 1994 and in 1998 and was elected Zilla Panchayath president in the year 2000. She was nominated as A.B Member of Karnataka State Social Welfare development in 1995. She also served as vice president of district congress committee.

She has been active in the political arena representing the Indian National Congress since 1975. She was elected as Karkala taluk Board Member in the year 1978 and was appointed land tribunal member in 1987 in recognition of her sincere service.

Kum. Remedia D’souza hailing from Kedinje village of Karkala taluk is well known in the society for her social service helping the poor and downtrodden since several decades. She is a founder trustee of Manasa. She was the President of Manasa Rehabilitation & Training center for 9 years.
